You couldn't wish for a more inspiring theme for the 6th Association of Private Educators Nigeria (APEN) conference: Beyond the Limits. In education, getting students to believe  that they can learn something new is half the battle. So it was refreshing to be with a group of educators who gathered to increase their confidence in what is possible for the Nigerian private education sector to achieve, despite the many limitations it faces.

I was honoured to be among the facilitators at this event, and came away so inspired by those whom I heard and met. Other speakers included Fela Durotoye, James Kassaga Arinaitwe and chair of First Bank of Nigeria, Ibukun Awosika.
