Kio Global

Kio Global has been busy distributing the best multicultural and multilingual children's books available. But now we've  been bitten by the writing bug, and are publishing our first book. If you are an imaginative, flexible and team-playing illustrator, read on:

Kio Global is publishing its first original resource this year - a
children’s book for the West African market - and recruiting a
publishing team to that end. We’d like to hear from
illustrators who can confidently and imaginatively interpret
text in a way that is relevant to this vibrant market. The
illustrator must be prepared to research cultural subject
matter and render it with great quality and relevance to
primary school-aged children. The illustrator must also be
able to work well under the direction of a designer and in a
small team. We’d like to hear particularly from recent
graduate illustrators who are ready to start a project
immediately. We’d also be glad to hear from illustrators who
have experienced working to print deadlines.

The project will be on a flat fee contract basis, with the
opportunity to receive additional royalties. The project would
start in August 2014 and end approximately by October 2014.

We’d love to hear from illustrators who might fit this project.
Please email your relevant sample artwork, two referees and
a cover letter to chimaechi [at] kioglobal [dot] com in order to receive
more information and apply.
